Remember that time you were skiing at St. Moritz, in the Swiss alps, and you went to that restaurant high up at the mountain station, and the famous chef that looked a bit like Dustin Hoffman?
Of course you do, how could you forget that?
Well, Swiss Air and Chocolat Frey flew him down to make me an authentic Swiss supper.
Ok, Reto Mathis may have happened to be giving away the Young Chef Award (they’ve raised R6M so far!) in Cape Town that week anyway. Plus, there was a table full of guests beside me, and it was a great evening full of amazing chocolate, good company, and delicious food.
Reto is incredibly down to earth (he even does some DJ’ing, and it’s great! Listen here), and was gracious enough to give his recipes of the night, and now you can have them too.
The chocolate used was Frey, a Swiss chocolate that you should definitely spoil yourself/everyone else with- Their dark orange truffles are pretty spectacular!
(Note: I was a guest of Chocolat Frey, and SWISS. All thoughts are my own.)
