I enjoy a good book, and the more I read the more I find there are other amazing and wondrous books out there, waiting for me to absorb everything they have to offer. The sad truth is that I’ll never get to read every great book, but I can try!

When we learn to read we are taught to look at individual letters, which turns into looking at individual words, and then we typically stop learning how to read effectively. Our minds are fantastic when it comes to recognizing shapes. Most people can recognize faces almost instantly, which is crazy if you think of how subtly different facial features actually are! We can use more of our visual field to take in the shapes of groups of words, instead of individual words.
