Tribe Coffee

I drink my fair share of coffee, and by ‘fair’ I mean if two other people decide not to have, then I’ll have theirs after mine.

So to make sure I don’t shake off this mortal coil with my caffeine shakes, I decided that most of the coffee I drink should take more effort to make. Now if I feel like a cuppa I reach for the beans. Most of the time…

Luckily, Cape Town has quite an ever growing coffee culture {thanks hipsters, you did good}, so I have more selection than ever, and will endeavour to get through as many as I can. Tribe Coffee is as good a place to start as any – I’ve been buying their coffee for years and last week end had some breakie at their new Tribe112 BMW cafe. The place is great, a bit on the pricey side, but it’s a treat and it goes without saying that the coffee is delicious.

So far in my explorations, I’ve enjoyed their Costa Rica, and Espresso Blend the most (both are 100% Arabica), followed by their Malawi Gold.

They’ve been going since 2010, and gathering momentum. It should be interesting to see what happens.

Hmmm mug is empty…
