When Colour Blind People See Colour For The First Time

When I was 5 I wondered if everyone saw the world like I did? Did the colours I was seeing look the same? Maybe that’s why people had different favourite colours – they all liked the same colour but their minds perceived it differently? We still don’t really know, last I checked.

Then I met someone in my school that was slightly colour-blind. I thought it was astonishing, and my next thought was what if everyone is actually colour-blind in someway but with other senses? How would you know you couldn’t smell things the same as those around you, which could give you vastly different flavour experiences?

Here are some people experiencing a larger spectrum of colour for the first time. This is truly fantastic!
